💪NO ADDED SUGAR CHALLENGE!
Added sugar – which is any sugar that’s ADDED to a food or drink – is linked with a huge list of serious health problems, such as:
Heart disease
Obesity
Type 2 diabetes
High blood pressure & cholesterol
Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease
Chronic inflammation in your body (linked to aging & many diseases)
Dental problems
😮According to the American Heart Association, adults eat or drink around 77 grams of added sugar DAILY – more than 3x the recommended amount for women.
🤯That’s 60 pounds of added sugar a year!
This week, your challenge is to ditch the sugar.
Read food labels and steer clear of cookies, cakes, sweetened coffees, soda, and other foods that have been loaded with sweeteners.
⚠️You might experience cravings the first day or two. It’s normal.
Be prepared by having some healthy natural sugars on hand – like fruit! And be sure to stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water.
